6 Things That Steal Your Dreams

"Dreams are the birthplace of goals." -Peter J. Daniels

Live The Dream In Your Heart

Joshua1:8 New International Version

8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Ecclesiastes 5:3 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

3 For a dream comes with much business and painful effort, and a fool’s voice with many words.

The American Dream

The American Dream is the national ethos of the United States, that every person has the freedom and opportunity to succeed and attain a better life. Originally, the emphasis was on democracy, liberty and equality, but more recently has been on achieving material wealth and upward mobility.

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours...

Henry David Thoreau

Dreams are the only property of substance that is created from nothingness.

God gives you the capacity to imagine and dream positively and creatively, expecting you to realize a dream.

Be selective with whom you choose to share your dreams, because dreams shared with others can be met with disbelief, humor, and even ridicule, and discouragement can cause doubt…

These are things or people that take your dreams away:

#1 Lack of focus.

Consider the dream that you want to be realized…

Can you see the full picture and are you able to verbalize it?

The best way to focus on it is to reduce it to written form with measurements applied.…

#2 Fear of the unknown.

Fear expresses itself in many forms. The most prevalent is indecisiveness.

The only solution to indecisiveness is clarity. There will always be the unknowns.

Indecisiveness magnifies doubt and disappears once there is a firm resolve to move ahead, irrespective of obstacles.

#3 Admit and learn by mistakes.

Every mistake has its own penalty. Every mistake that is not admitted and corrected will delay your dream. Every mistake not admitted will be repeated.

#4 Inconsistent work habits.

Routine and good work habits are disciplines that provide oil to help your dreams run smoothly. Break the bad habit syndrome or you will provide an opportunity for the dream thief to enter.

#5 Create good relationships.

Being at peace with all mankind is a lofty ideal and a worthy ambition. The people you do not need today may be of pivotal importance tomorrow and having many friends ensures a pleasant pathway of life. Broken and bad relationships build up enmity and burn up dreams and energy.

#6 Financial security.

It becomes more difficult to dream while you are under financial stress unless you have an unusual focus. If you do not save, the seeds of success are not in you.
