Why Christians Should Go Into Business
Before he departed he summoned his ten servants together and charged them, 'I am entrusting each of you with fifty thousand dollars to invest while I am away. Trade with it and put the money to work until I return. Luke 19;13 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Occupy defined: To transact business, trade. From pragma; to busy oneself with, i.e. To trade. The word “occupy” means to be busy, it literally means “to carry on business by trading. “The Lord is telling them to “TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS” and KEEP BUSY UNTIL I RETURN.
Why should Christians engage in business? Here’s a simple list of why. Let's pick up where we left off in yesterday's blog:
4. We should do all things for the glory of God, whether we eat or drink or do business. If all of life is about the glory of God, That definitely includes business.
5. God wants us to be good stewards of our possessions. Nevertheless, financial literacy is rarely taught in school, at home, or in church.

6. Money is not the most important thing in life but it affects every important thing in life. We use money in the ministry, we use money in the family, we use money in school, etc. Money is involved in almost every activity we have.
7. There are two kinds of greed. Poor and rich alike can be slaves of money. There is greed for the poor and there is greed for the rich. The greed of the poor consists in covetousness. The greed of the rich is selfishness.
There is no place for greed in the heart and mind of the Christian Entrepreneur.
